Janet at Romantic Times in NYC

When you need a proxy

Centuries ago, when King James of Great Britain wanted to bring Princess Anne from Denmark for their marriage, he chose one of our Keith ancestors to go "by proxy" to fetch her.

When the Romantic Times Convention was to be in New York City, I knew it was out of the question to attend. So, my good friend Mo Boylan came forward and offered to go as my "proxy." So, books in hand, she set up the display, complete with my picture on the table, she set out to do what I couldn't do--greet my "fans" and peddle my books.
My grateful thanks to Mo, and here are a couple of photos of the event. I'm the one on the table; Mo is the one standing up!

A great book is like a great mind; it keeps on giving
over and over and over again!
